New boat!

looks more than fine to me!
How about call it a day (or month :p ) and put the boat back to where it belongs!

V.

Not over the line yet but getting there. I have the right kit and compounds now ?

So…..I’ve started to turn my attention to the engines now. There was a rusty jubilee clip and as I’m a bit OCD, decided to change it out. It secures the throttle body to the intake manifold via a short wide bore rubber hose.

on investigation I found the the rubber has shrunk and is pulling away from the metal part. As this is after the throttle body…..could explain rough idle. It also takes much of the throttle body’s weight with it dangling below. With much fear….I googled for a replacement. In Volvo land…..a part made of both metal and rubber would be scary money. Mercury…£65…..found new old stock for £30! I couldn’t buy a washer for that previously!

pays to be a bit OTT otherwise I would never have spotted anything wrong ??️‍♂️

MrG, physio is for carrying all these bloody 20lt jerry cans around IOM
w/e is coming, get her in the water Mr!

fwiw, I just drove son to his uni colleague for a project submission work and then to port and walked the 100m to the boat - exhausted and sweating like a pig!
just wanted to drop some things off and get some white wine back from the fridge to drink it at home  (and get a couple of bottles of red from the galley to the fridge just in case to save them)
38C in salon, 33C in e/r and outside (boat in the water with 6+kn of wind ffs!), not going anywhere back home with A/C on...

weather too good for boating…..that’s a new one!

ive spent the last 22 years carrying around people weighing a lot more than that…..I’ll cope ??

At least you have the good sense to know. Seacock and GrumpK don’t seem to care! Trailer envy ?

What broke on yours?

Haven't seen it, but by all accounts the brass connector in the leg that the gear cable connects to sheared. Obviously whilst we were in astern.

Engineer who's on the job say he's never seen it before. I've never heard of it.
Parts on order, hoping for delivery tomorrow.
