Hi all,
After many years of wanting a boat, the lady of the house conceded that it would be a fantastic idea to do so. We therefore plunged straight in, with both feet, and bought a Quicksilver Pilothouse 605 with a Mercury 115ct outboard in May.
I added an electric windlass, smart pack, and swim platform. I also added a copper anti foul treatment. I’ll add some updates on this as the months progress.

So far I have added a couple of little things that other newbie owners may find useful.
A rear view mirror. I added this for less than £10. It lets me see the cockpit when I’m in the cabin and I use it to see which way the outboard is pointing at a glance.
Portable toilet. This fits in one of the storage lockers and is for emergencies only. It has not been used yet. I have trained my small dog to wee off the swim platform :)
Sleeping bag and pillows. One day (night) I will sleep over just to say I have.
12v cool box. This is always plugged in when we’re out for the day. It’s one that cools (or heats) to an amount below (above) ambient temperature. It’s excellent and suits our needs.
12v USB chargers. Who doesn’t need to charge their devices? This plugs into the cigar lighter and has a couple of USB outputs.
A fold away table. As described, it’s a camping table that’s easy to set up.
Cushions. My wife’s idea.

To be added.
Some shelving/pockets fitted to store more things. I haven’t yet looked into how to fix these to the walls. I don’t want to use screws.
Replacement cockpit table. The one that comes with the boat is fairly terrible. A nice teak one would be nice.
A headlight of sorts. Maybe an LED bar above the windscreen.
Cup holders. Maybe in the new table but we’ll see.
