new boat to me repairs

so it seems I will be getting the boat next week without the nav kit which is away for repair ,the questions should we with hold some money until it is returned ,and we I refit it and it does not work how would I stand .the company has been great so far ,what are your thoughts

I would get said "company" to elaborate what happens next. Personally, i would like it to be reinstated
before handover and a verification it all works.
