New Boat, Swedish Delta "Yacht" - anyone got any info? Jack?

Fabulous looking boat (especially if you squint when looking at the flybridge ). Can anyone tell me what benefit there is to having a straight bow? I definitely like the look of it but I am sure there must be something more to it than just being pleasing to my eye.

Thanks

Hello my friends!

It is correct that hull #1 is in the Med. Number 2 has been to Scotland and the Baltic this summer ...]
Yep, but for her first two seasons, number 2 was in the med.

Not bad despite the flybridge... :)
it's a lot more than "not bad" Lars- it's an awesome machine. I'd love to buy one. Where are your thoughts on creating a full flybridge? Would need a new mould tool (or a cut and shut modification of the current tool). Totally possible technically; it's just a question of whether you guys will do it :)

I doubt that you have seen more than one of these boats in the Med, but I have mixed the numbers of the first two hulls, sorry about this.

About the flybridge, we have a nice 105-footer on the drawing board if you would like to have more space... :)

Looking good Designo,

just a note, wife is in Malmo atm and she complains that it's too hot and sunny (even swam in the sea yesterday and posted pics to prove as I wouldn't believe her). Mind she's Greek brought up in Crete which is as south EU as you can get and is happy swimming at 28C...

So maybe it's time to reconsider the tiny overhangs, hardtops and general sun protection on your designs? Looks like climate change is catching up on you up North :p
I'd very much like to see a new built thread from the new built thread master in here (JFM) but unless you cut and shut the f/b mould of the 105 to fit the 80 I don't see much chance of it happening!

cheers

V.

You can see the Flybridge.. ;)

Complete thread drift, I'm afraid, but seeing that view reminded me that I spent this morning pressure-washing 100 sq m of decking (garden - wouldn't do it to teak!). My elder daughter was "helping" but from about half way through the process we seemed to swap roles and I became the "hey-you" with the broom. :D

On a boat that size -you do not do any cleaning .At least your crew will earn there pay and you may feel they are worth it .

I had a lovely last week on the Swedish West Coast, finally summer came! One day, in Smögen harbour we spotted Stina-Cajsa, a lovely example of the Delta 80/88. In the evening she caught up with us and passed our mooring in Hamburgsund heading north. It's quite a narrow channel so we got a good close-up. This reminded me of this old thread...

I haven't seen any more info either on the D105 or on a cutomized D88 - maybe Designo cares to enlighten us? The 88 is just a fantastic boat and even more impressing up close!
