New boat for fishing (pics)

Thanks for everyone who gave an opinion when I asked for advice on a boat for fishing, as you see I didn't go for the light, trailer-able boat on outboards route. My thinking is that it is a second boat and needs to be good as a platform for fishing year round in and around Plymouth and out to wrecks. I went with semi-d for sea keeping, cabin for weather protection, chunky displacement for stability and twin diesel shafts for ease of maintenance and manoeuvring.

It is a 2008 Rodman 870 with 270 hours on D3-160's and it passed its survey with no significant issues.

Congrats Kevin,

That isn't what I call a fishing boat, that's very nearly a gin palace!

Galley, bunks and head. Wow, luxury.
Very nice though and plenty of good shelter when you're out in he winter looking for Cod on the wrecks and banks.

That dinghy will have to go though or you'll get plenty of tangles with 4 rods out down tide.

Looking forward to seeing plenty of pics of the fish and you're new berth in the Med next Spring. :encouragement:

Roger.

New boat looks great Kevin, like the idea of the V48 in the SOF, could do with a trip out there this time of year.
Enjoy, just keep an eye out for the D3 woes.
