New battery system - flexible cable supplier (ie multistrand welding type) local to Ipswich

This winter's fun project.

Would like to find a supplier of over-the counter hi-flex type cable (in a variety of sizes cut to nearest whole meter) - where I could just turn up and be dealt with while I wait. Lots of places online but I'd rather measure up as I go and get as and when. Somewhere around Levington/Ipswich or on the A12 N of Ipswich if possible.

Oh, and not stupid prices either. The lifepo4 cells are cheap but all the ancillaries that have to go with them, yikes.

PS I am aware of 12v Planet and am already buying stuff from them but would rather not buy metres of cable I don't need (or find I'm a foot short! ).

If somehere obvious like Halfords doesn't do it, try a smaller independant motor factors - that's certainly where I've bought some in the past (but it's now closed!).

Yes. It’s certainly becoming a major expense in the project. That and the T class fuses. Ah well, I’ve started so will have to finish.

Try Nacton Auto Electrics Ltd. We got a replacement alternator for a VP 55hp engine a couple of years ago, (MUCH cheaper than a VP spare!) they may do cable as well. Tel 01473 270077
