Thank you - that's really helpful. The Windy looks and feels fantastic. From what I've seen on the website, you get more interior space on the Nimbus (size for size) but as you said a more traditional finishing. Are all the systems, valves etc as nicely laid out and labelled on a Nimbus as on a Windy? On a Windy you just feel that the engineering bit is their priority.
In terms of engineering and build there really is nothing to choose between the windy and the nimbus. Deck gear, stainless, electrics install: both use top quality brands, and have a real attention to detail. In my opinion you will be over the moon with either marque - I think it will come down to which one you just prefer the feel off.
Since you are going to berthon, you'd be mad not to nip round the corner and speak to offshore at the same time. And don't settle for a quick look round. You want to see how the boats work and which works best for you. Sea trial as you intend to use it - so that's with the kids etc as their security was on your original must have list.
