Re: All time record?

That's because I didn't post it under its own heading on this BB. However I think one or two replies were received.
Had I posted here the same way , I bet more would have taken notice.

Re: All time record?

True, true - but IMHO it would be very difficult to get a thread over 100 postings on SB these days - but please feel free to try to prove me wrong!

Re: All time record?

That's because we don't have Marian on this BB. She seem's to contribute most of the postings in most of the threads on BYM. I was bored and so counted her contributions to the 105 thread you mentioned - she'd penned well over 30 of these.

Re: Poor chap

Hah! You will get constant moans of - 'Why can't we go shopping here for a couple of days,' or 'I want to stay on this beach', it will be too hot, too cold, to flat, too rough, too still, too windy, and as soon as you get anywhere with Italians, the girls will be off like a shot. Been there meself, mate. This year, the girls were running a bet as to who could get a hot shower on the biggest Stinkpot in the harbour.
The last straw was finding a German surfer one of them had picked up in the disco sat in the cockpit when yours truly got up one morning.
Confinement with them will drive you mad.

Re: Poor chap

Oh! yes he does!! Wish I was going with him! After being stuck on drilling rigs with hundreds of men, I only want to see/speak to/and anything else, women aswell, they do have some funny ideas, but I love them!!

Re: Re COINCIDENCE?

You are correct about the boat name, Peter, but she's never been to the Caribbean...The woman referred to and me have jointly owned the boat for nearly 3 seasons now and I know she's not been any further than Douarnenez (from the Solent) Still, one day...

I took my wife, my mother (+ her partner) and my 1yr old daughter sailing on a 31ft boat for a week in the western isles of scotland. I was the only one who could sail and ended up doing everything.

It was hard work, and not just the sailing sidel My wife and mother were at each other which ended up in blazing rows!!! My Mums partner was claustrophobic.

Nobody (but me)would use the heads and all ended up feeling ill.

One example, trying to feed the main up the track and get one of the others to hoist, nothing was happening? I go down to the cockpit and find him trying to hoist the sail without the winch complaining that it wouldn't go up. Get the picture.

At the end of the day my daughter was by far the best member of the crew and I did enjoy it as, as amuch it was hard work it was possible to sail it single handed... The weather was sh**e but the scenery no less stunning...

I would not take my wife and mother out together again...
