Interesting, Kim, that you've not had any replies to your posting on PBO.

IMHO it is the NB aspects of certain other fora which add to their interest, humour and charm. I seem to remember starting out looking and posting all sorts of sensible boaty stuff here but very soon gravitated to Scuttlebutt and sometimes MBC, where I have found my comfortzone in among their many like-minded hooligans and barkers.

I always thought Scuttlebut WAS the NB forum :)

That's why I always read Classic Boat and PBO first 'cos they normally have something about boats!

(Sits back and waits for flack!)

Suggestion
You split the forum up further to have
Good gear/ systems / service and bad gear/ service
Saints and sinners

They're not talking about splitting up the forums, only using the two forums for clearly defined areas - it makes sense

Seems sensible to divide boat issues from non boat issues, can I just mention that when registering we all know the min. info we have to give, as it is unfair to those that register sensibly.
