Navman and Autohelm

I have just installed a Navman 7100, already have Autohelm instruments on board. Am I better off installing a second GPS aerial for the DSC VHF Navman or buying an interface box to allow the atuohelm to relay to the Navman? Cost and other considerations?

personally like having a back up GPS system.

My second system is a hand held GPS with 12v external , thus I can read ships position from it. A straight aerial connection doesnt provide that degree of redundency.

I have a handheld, a raymarine 400 (with GPS) and an autohelm GPS, the DSC VHF is an 'extra'! Is 4 too many?
