Has anyone here installed Navionics onto a Nexus 9 tablet?

I am considering this as an option to guide me along the French Mediterranean coast.
New to me ship has an old Raymarine RL 70C, there is a couple of old C Map cartridges included but I am not even sure if the plotter has a functioning GPS feed to it.

Opinions /options welcomed.

Not using it on a nexus 9. But am using it on a Sony Xperia z3 tablet.

It's good ,works well. Not as good as a dedicated device, but good enough for my use.

The main consideration will be whether the nexus 9 screen is visible in Bright sunlight. The Xperia z3 works fine in the sun

I too would be very interested to hear feedback from anyone who has first hand practical experience of running Navionics on their Nexus 9.

Any feedback, good or bad would be most appreciated.

Regards and thanks.

Hi APM,
I am rather surprised at the lack of response, so have posted on the PBO section
so keep a look out there, may be some more down to earth users over there.

Is there anything specific you want to know? as whilst I havent used it on a nexus 9, I am using it on a sony xperia z3. Aside from the question about whether the screen is bright enough to read in bright sunlight on a nexus 9 , the experience of using it on a sony xperia z3 will be no different to that on a nexus 9.

Thanks for your response Julian's I am sure that I read somewhere that it wasn't compatible with the N9, of course that may have been in its early days or briefly due to one of the recent updates to the OS, mine is currently running 5.01, what is your machine running?

My Z3 was upgraded to android 5.02 a week or so ago, before that it was running some variant of android V4.x. It runs it fine. Battery lasts for about 6 hours with the screen on full brightness, but with things like bluetooth and wifi turned off.

If you're concerned about compatibility , you can download the app at no cost, so just install it and give it a go, I'd be surprised if it wasnt compatible with the nexus 9.
