If you have a genuine Navionics 28XG card (UK, N France etc), then so long as it was never 'retired' you may be able to purchase an upgrade which then allows the existing card to be registered using the Navionics App and updated? As upgrades are not insignificant in cost terms I would approach Navionics UK, tell them what card you have and seek their guidance.
CF discontinuance is not great as I rotate my cards between a couple of plotters on an annual basis.

The main problem with updating charts on CF cards for older MFDs is that the data simply doesn't fit on a card size that the unit can read.
You may end up having to get two or more regular areas to cover what you want. Unfortunately new charts on CF cards are much more expensive than SD.
As suggested a quick email to a Navionics dealer (or the UK distributor Navimaps) will be easiest. Include a note of all the charts you have and what coverage you want to end up with.
