Navionics BOATING app : RENAME a route

I find that I cannot reliably rename a route in the app running on a Samsung Tablet 10.1 T510 (Android 11) .I have attempted to follow some of the Navionics/Garmin video guidance which invariably does not show all the button moves,the only arrow referred to, in my case, is the Northing switch .Occasionally it works but doesn't seem to reproduce.My subscription is current.
A small thing but irritating.
Advice please if you have a similar setup and it works for you.

1. Click Route from the three button menu at the bottom of the screen
2. Click My Routes Archive
3. Click on the route you want to rename
4. Click on the menu button in the bottom left corner of the screen
5. Click on the pen icon in the top right corner
6. Backspace to remove existing name and type in new one

For some reason I do not have the same buttons appear.But your sequence prompted me to turn to landscape ( I am not on the boat with tablet set horizontal) .
Working in portrait no button appears - but in landscape what resembles a slider just appears mid left edge and this does the trick.
I should perhaps have remembered the difficulty I had with the Belgian Schengen online form for the same reason.In portait no return button (back to main form and despatch ) appears in the crew list ,but it does appear in landscape.

I'm a fan of the boating app but it's not the most intuitive piece of software. Having to turn it the right way up doesn't help! You may have spotted that some enterprising chap has written a user manual (NAVIONICS Boating App - English User Manual) Not sure about the quality but might be worth a try.

I got caught out by needing to hit return once you've renamed the route - otherwise it reverts to whatever was there before.
