I'm thinking of replacing my intermittently working wired NASA wind instrument with their wireless system. Has anyone got any experience of the wireless system, good or bad?

It’s slower to respond than the wired version and sometimes we find the receiver doesn’t pick up the head unit after turning it on, simply power cycling it solves the problem or, aa we did, wire the receiver to its own switch and leave it powered up.

I have B&G Network system on my race boat ... and the wind masthead unit has had problems since day I bought the boat ... I seriously looked at the NASA wireless system to replace that part of the B&G ...

Why - have you seen the price of B&G gear ???

Luckily a guy in UK had a 2nd hand fully functioning MHU to fit and I bought that .... but if that fails - Nasa will be getting a Click to Buy from me !!

Same problem here and same solution. Mast only 24ft, and occasionally fails to connect. Does not fail once its connected, only on start up.
