Nasa Weatherman

The Nasa Weatherman looks like a useful piece of kit. Has anyone direct experience? Can the unit be used with an aerial other than the stub provided by Nasa. Would it work off a masthead TV or SSB areial (or the backstay)? Any advice welcomed.

Its OK - the forecasts arent very good for the UK (areas too big) but ideal for the Med.

You can use it connected to the SSB (the weatherman operated on HF radio frequencies) aerial, but the VHF aerial would not be suitable.
