Nasa EasyLog help?

Hi Guys.

Im new here and looking for a little help.
I have a small boat that i dont take too far..
I decided i wanted a SOG display, so i purchased a clipper easylog, Garmin GPSMAP78s and a cable to connect the 2.

When i connect them i get nothing but a ON screen on the easy log.

Does anyone have any experience with NMEA1803 outputs/inputs?

Because you can see it on the EasyLog from more than 2ft away?

simply due to the fact that i wanted a slightly bigger display

Connect the blue wire of the EasyLog to the brown wire on Garmin lead. Connect brown wire of EasyLog to black wire/power ground of Garmin lead.

Also make sure Garmin data output is set to NMEA 4800.
