Naming and shaming forum query

I have a lot of sympathy with this view, I have had dealings with quite a few firms. Only 2 were complete cowboys, the others were real professionals and a pleasure to deal with. This forum is about knowledge sharing (amongst other things) and an experience of a bollox supplier is something to share. If its a one off experience then I'm sure those with positive experience will share that as well. One thing that amazed me when I related my experiences with [ahem censored] was the amount of PM's from people who also had serious problems with the same outfit. Such is life ... rights without responsibility in all walks of life. I do feel that it is a boatowners responsibility to know as much about their boat as the professional in key areas .. it may be that their life or that of their loved ones may depend on it ... a cowboy workman's does'nt .. key difference.

Great post /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif and a reminder that you never really know who you're dealing with when online. It's easy to forget this and become blasé about the whole thing. Having said that, some posters here I'd trust with my life, well almost /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It's a real shame we can't name and shame though - we could do with a company with absolutely no money that's prepared to run a discussion forum and let 'trusted' /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif members post their experiences.

um well that's obviously an exception. Good garbage i must say. Though i *think* that it would last here - there's a large enough peer group of bullshit detectors who easily outnumber any singl person or small group of axe-grinders, i think?

I don’t think for a minute that it could happen on here.
Mainly because this forum seems to be well moderated and full of like minded people.
I`m sure anyone posting a complaint here would be taken seriously and that’s as it should be.

I’ve only been here a week and in that time I’ve been caught out, praised, scorned, thanked, respected and sworn at (in French) but as I haven’t had any posts deleted and that’s a first for me.
I think I’ll stick around.
