Mystery fitting in the bilges

I found a loose fitting in the bilges which is connected to the 12 v. cabin lights. What is it and what is its purpose?

Looks a lot like a 12v buzzer to me. Especially this one:

Looks like a buzzer to me as well .... although why the cabin lights would need a buzzer is puzzling.
