Its a shame to see that they are not getting their act together. Even without the wind, I personally would give Mykonos a miss - its only purpose is for meeting Sleazy Jet. Too many tourists for me!

Typical Greek way of doing things As the mayor says he has 1.7 million visitors from the big ships
Why try and help the couple of hundred complaining yachties ?
Put a POLICEMAN THERE TO DRIVE THEM AWAY IS A MUCH EASER ANSWER

Well, we just arrived in Mykonos marina - found a reasonably sheltered spot on the E side where we could tie up alongside, and we're quiet and comfortable in spite of 20-25 knot winds at our masthead.

Lack of services is an issue where we are (especially as we arrived with empty water tanks), but that - frankly - was our own stupid fault for failing to check before we left. But we were able to find a working tap and cart 90L over in plastic tanks in the dinghy without getting yelled at, which'll keep us going for now.

Lazy lines were a bit hard to spot when we took a tour looking for somewhere to park. A lot of boats somehow had found them (often more than one per boat), in spite of their not obviously being tailed to the quay.

I was amazed at how easily I got to see the Mayor! Lets hope they do something. When the diver was here, we asked him to check our anchors - he wanted €100 per boat to check Foxtrot Oscar I think! - I now have the port managers mobile to call him if I have ANY problem!

Isn't there also another hazard, namely a major power/electric cable laying across the harbour?
