You live in a beautiful part of the world at this time of the year
Does it get rammed in high summer I wonder? Do you all take off to our chilly damp northern character forming/forging/crushing climes?😎

The wife invited me to dinner at a restaurant in the port….and because we are having wine…and I don’t drink and drive…we are sleeping on the boat. The option of walking up the road to our house was dismissed because I’m knackered after our epic hike

It’s beautiful all year round….but as you imply, I especially love the winter because I have the place to myself.
The wife always talks about spending the summer up in the mountains where it’s cool…but I like the heat…I think people should have the privilege of seeing me shirtless. The boating can be crazy, the anchorages are rammed and the ports full. The mosquitoes are savage and huge. The roads are blocked.
But I’ve lived in the middle of nowhere and I quite like the idea of restaurants and shops and services. So I like the South of France…it really is just like the postcards😎

Sounds lovely but I don't get on with the cold anymore.

How does the French outside living cope with big mosquitoes?
Some people seem unaffected by them…but I am a mosquito magnet. Once, during a really bad mosquito season, I had to leave an open air restaurant because of the swarm around me….and all the other diners called out for me to stay…because I was keeping the mosquitoes away from them

I hope to get across to your part of the world when I get a boat. Only ever been to Nice and Monaco on business and didn't see much. But I will avoid the height of summer, I remember being in Montpelier area in July and the good lady wanted to see the horses in the Camargue - we were roasted, and eaten alive by the mossies.

Might even get there sooner rather than later as I've just found a few boats in Cannes and Antibes. One of them is 12 years old and has only 60 hours on it - do they just moor up and sunbathe on them or something?

Sometimes people wait until they can afford a boat…and by then it’s too late to use it.
We were travelling up a canal in the Camargue and tied up to the bank for the night….next morning there were six white snouts exploring our flybridge…to our dog it was a life changing experience….it was magical

Well, hopefully I'll find the right one soon. Today's were a bit disappointing but have three more tomorrow and, if they don't inspire me, I'll have a look in France once I do a few things I need to do at home.
The horses were magical, there was a haze off the marshes and they seemed to hover in it

Tesla shares have always been volatile….Elon has said that they are not for the faint of heart.
But it is important to remember that the share price (market capitalisation) floats between three levels:
1) worth more than ALL the major car manufacturers combined
2) worth more than EVERY car manufacturer on the planet
3) worth more than EVERY car manufacturer on the planet…twice over
4) Bears no actual economic relation to the company performance.

The view not from the back of our yacht as you might anticipate but actually from the back of our new retirement home complete with its own jetty and pontoon and boat launching ramp!
We have luckily found a relatively cheap and unknown/forgotten piece of waterfront paradise to base our trailer sailer cruising and land based adventure travels from here in South Eastern South Australia.
