Some people think that the Sphinx had a lion’s head .....but when his nose fell off, it was recarved into a smaller person’s head. But they still seem to have trouble with noses🤷‍♂️
So many statues without noses in Egypt. odd considering there are other bits that are equally fragile that aren't missing.... no Hackett, I'm not talking about willies.

Unlike Greek and Roman sculpture willies did not figure in Egyptian sculpture, probably because most of it portrays the Pharoes or deities and showing their willies in public would have resulted in the sculptor having his willie removed amongst other things.

Awesome place to visit. Even though gazillions of tourists have been there before, there are some magnificent things to see.

But beware of galloping gut rot.

I think you'd be surprised......
