17 miles local on Sparky my electric bike...a photo from last summer
Mild and sunny and definite signs of Spring and a few reminders of recent Storms...
A very old Oak, as is often the case, rotten inside but looked quite healthy and I suspect would have lived for many more years had it not been for Storm Eowyn.
A long way but the electric Whirly-Gig on the back wheel helps with the steep bits..
Lots of Snowdrops at the bottom of the Hedgerows.
And the new Daffodil growth I posted the other day is now showing that a couple more days sunshine and they will be in bloom.
I feared that the old Ash Tree in the back lane home would not survive the storm, but she's still standing which will please the Spotted woodpeckers that feed off her on Summer evenings.
Primroses are up next to my back garden path.
Can't post any photos of booze and fancy grub I'm afraid, it was just a big mug of tea and thick buttered toast....

I’ve got very lazy. Ensign goes up when we’re on board. Comes down when we leave.Lovely pic. Ensign's up early.
Although if we get junior crew they get jobbed off with ensign duties…. They seem to like it.

Last night I was trying to sleep but there was a constant noise of metal on metal almost bell like in sound...I kept getting up and cursing the nearby yacht and his noisy halyard .....eventually it wakes the wife up....she goes to the wardrobe and removes the wire coat hangers ....and the noise stops !.....they were just dinging together in the waves and echoing and amplifying throughout the bedroom. Who’d would have thought
