SAILING GENTLY, my new Utube channel, cannot have its name displayed before it gets 100 subscribers. It would really help if you would click on this link

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCHwNBRMwKc-aYYdKzYON4Q

then play any video and when SUBSCRIBE pops up, click on that.
If you could share this so others also click on SUBSCRIBE, I would be very grateful - but you do not have to watch all the video!!
Thank you.. All to do with my new project.
Michael

Subscribed. Good luck.
Curious as to your goals though.
Clearly you have a wealth of content and experience not least through your working roles.

If you're building a subscriber base it suggests you want to monetise the channel or build an online brand.

Tom Cunliffe's charmingly off the cuff pieces to camera, filmed by his wife, show how old (sorry Tom) media has can evolve to find its place in the brand new world of Patreon. And who wouldn't want to be a digital nomad, filming exploits to fund the next exploit.

Suggestion:
Release your content weekly, or even daily. It takes time and regular posts to build a subscriber base...

... but what do I know ?

Just watched it and subscribed; great stuff; nice moody.
Thank you.. Yes I recon the Angus Primrose Moody 36 was one of the best boats ever designed and built. Really comfotsble to live in and she never let me down during the circumnavigation.
Good of you to click on subscribe. Would love the channel to have a name rather than a number but needs 100 clicks!

What do I know also.. Really steep learning curve.. Took me all day to create the subscribe button... Thanks for the advice I will take it on board

Now I am back in Northern waters I am thinking of making a series of UTube pilot videos.. Entering various ports and am using this down time to get the channel working properly... So much tech stuff to learn about.

I am not sure about using the brand new world of Patreon. I am a bit uncomfortable asking folks to pay monthly for something that is free. I have been viewing another sailing channel A B Sea which is charming and wholesome as well as being interesting but since they started using Patreon it has felt a bit greedy and self serving.
It costs nothing for someone to click on Subscribe but asking them to pay a few quid a month to support somebody elses adventure makes me uncomfortable,,, ... but what do I know ?

When I did my French Canal trip your stuff was invaluable, so duly subscribed!

I think I may have seen Bambola in Shamrock Quay the other day?

Logged to subscribe so 20 reached now. I do find these channels a source of info - watched one on replacing steering lines and while I don't have that in mind current never knew they were so complex to repair the wires

Bambola is on her 2nd owner from me. I have tried to find out but no luck. I hope they are getting as much pleasure out of her as I did. Wonderful boat. Would love to hear from the new owners.
Thank you for clicking on Subscribe and I'm glad French Canal Routes worked for you. (I used it myself last time!)

Thank you for clicking on SUBSCRIBE.. really grateful.. I watch a lot of videos too... Just about Sailing is a brilliant channel. Mainly DIY on boats but the guy is very clever and makes boring holes in hulls entertaining, informative and educational
