My season has just begun 😎

The Camargue is one of our favourite places…we nearly bought a house on the Canal du Midi…and we’ve had a few adventures on it….the only problem with the Rhone valley (and I just drove up it last week) is the bloody wind😳
Camargue is gorgeous, apart from the mosquitoes, we were there the year before COVID and went from Port Cassafières along to the Etang du Thau last year. We’ve holidayed both on and near Canal du Midi several times and also nearly bought a house ( with a small vineyard!) near Argeliers before the dreaded B word made that messy.

Ah, yes, the first time we are in the area, we were staying in Orange and the lady we were renting from recommended the view from a disused fort just to the north. We got about halfway up the hill when we decided we were in danger of getting blown off!

I have often speculated that the castles, forts and walled towns in the region…were only built as protection from the wind
