My partner bough a boat he has no idea what it is and i cant find how i find out the make and model as theres no hin on the boat

You made assumptions and accusations against the boyfriend when you said this

But that's OK presumably because you're on the females side attacking the male? How very 21st century of you.

And how about this for a wild and weird assumption

or this

For all we know she's already forced him to sell the boat she clearly didn't agree with him buying. She only joined to ask one question and clearly has no interest in talking to other sailing people. There is always mumsnet if she wants sympathy but this is a sailing forum so I'm on the side of the guy you has a dream to go sailing and wants to follow it despite her. You're not helping the wannabe sailor by throwing him under a bus to be a virtue signaling male feminist.
There are too many old men on here that think “life on mars” is a documentary.

Or would Gene Hunt be too forward thinking I wonder?

Thankfully those attitudes are largely dead in real life society.

Though I gave up membership of a blue ensign yacht club as there was an enclave of the old men there too.

Perhaps you were the commodore.

LOL I'm not that old but I'm happy to sit with the traditionalists and be called a dinosaur among all you idealistic virtue signalers. How is "modern society" going do you say? Divorces in England and Wales - Office for National Statistics

Unreasonable behaviour is the main reason given, its the first thing she said she felt he was guilty of, that she was disgruntled, and you lot keep giving her more ammunition.

I recognise that boat, I think it is from the south Wales area, if so may I suggest you and your bf learn the ropes in the calm waters of Cardiff bay. When you are more confident in your abilities then you can venture out into the Bristol channel.
Edit
Just re read your op. I have no idea what make of boat this is.

Having very occcasionally visited the Bristol Channel Iwould be happier keeping a small boat in say Plymouth

Gosh. I wonder why she’s not come back? Less than 50 posts and we’ve got casual sexism, chauvinism and pointless bickering. It’s just such a welcoming place!

Some members of this thread would do well to have some quiet introspection around their behaviour.
Reminds me of the thread about a young lady who lived on a catamaran and then a bigger wooden boat. We had all the wannabe yacht club commodores chipping in on that one.
