Maybe you don't but her history proves she is . How else could you describe some one who conns money from the guilible .Her scribble on a yacht scam speaks volumes .
I think it is unfair to call it a scam. Blagging, maybe, but people have been having whip rounds for years.
It's a generational thing, I suspect. Young people are much less reserved about asking their friends for financial or other physical help (raising money for gap year holidays, for example) but as Kickstarter shows, they are also much more generous about supporting other people's projects with small contributions which add up. They are also generally much more sanguine about being used as advertising fodder than we old farts.
Tell you what. You get some quotes for what you suggest. I bet it'll cost much less to just pay for the ground survey.
Steadt bluey its the duck that exposed JE for what she is ...... A scammer . Wise up and smell the coffee .Her scamming history indicates that She preys on gullible people ..... ,she must love you .

We all turn to friends when in need . No problem with that but to conn the public in donating money to scribble on a ,what was then , a non existing boat is a pure scam . It certainly isn't entrepreneurial as she claims
Didn't a F1 driver do this several years ago with a real F1 car?
That was Red Bull for the "Wings for Life" charity. A little different. They were not asking you to buy them a car.

We are all 'there' with our houses, boats, careers.
TL DNR.
That may be the case for 'our' generation.
It was not the case for the previous ones.
My grandmother struggled to buy a house in the thirties. She had a disabled husband (bus crash) and took on three jobs to keep it all together. She even managed to put my father through public school (although he got the ONLY free place).
She only bought what she had saved up for, never 'blagging, scamming or chancing' anything. My parent's generation were not far off either. In fact, even I remember my first mortgage which took up something like 75% of my net salary. And, contrary to popular opinion, it was not easy to secure. From memory 80% and we SAVED for the deposit.
IMO the constant media insistence that the Baby Boomers got something for nothing is providing younger generations with some sort of justification for making an easy buck.
