My Marina

I thought it might be interesting to see some interesting video or Pics from the Marina where you Keep your boat. This is my Marina on the Norfolk Broads in the UK called St Olaves.

Please feel free to Post your pics or video of your Marina

Some of those berths look a little tight. In one row there is a slightly bigger MOBO that must struggle a bit to get out. If he does actually go anywhere that is

Apart from the cold, that looks very appealing (y)
Cold?

'snot too bad

Afterall it is a nice marina indeed. Very good facilities, shopping nearby, not expensive, facing the Baltic, nice places to take your boat in DK, Sweden (30 nm), Germany (70 nm) and beyond. Diesel and petrol 24h, three restaurants (one brilliant) etc.

Yes many dont go out much and they are indeed quite narrow.... I have a small repair to do after hitting a metal bow sprit Ouch

So what you are saying is that your "lovely marina" is a dumping ground for mainly unused boats, surrounded by marshland.
All coming out now ;)
Makes our marina feel miles better now. ? ? ?

Well I suppose you could see it like that. I think many Marinas could be considered an expensive dumping ground for very expensive boats. Rather like the Louvre could be considered a dumping ground for the Mona Lisa ;) ;)

You got that wrong. The Mona Lisa is there to be viewed & many go just to see it every year. So i would suggest that it does the job successfully;)
Any way, I was only joking so do not get upset. There is more to a marina than boat movement.
I enjoy Bradwell for the conversation with others. A drink in the bar, a chat on the boat, is all part of marina life. I often go just to sit & watch what is going on around me. It is why I like visiting other marinas in foreign parts. Not so easy trying to chat when on a mooring 25 yds from the next boat, whilst being tossed about on a wind over tide situation(y)

Talk to Foreigners ......... Have you gone Mad.......... Buck your ideas up

This is a picture of my Grandparents boatyard taken around 1971 where they had a hire boat business. I would have been about 4yrs old when this was taken and where my interest in boating was born. Soon after this pic was taken my Uncle built workshops and a dry dock and started building boats and a hire fleet. Some of the boats are still around today, one I know of is owned by a YBW member. Interesting collection of cars there too
