Ok i know its nothing special but just brought navionics uk and holland app from android this will be used on wellcrafty for basic info on my htc phone, we tried to download it to our new eken top spec tablet but it wont work:mad: have no idea why, our original plan was to use the tablet in a water tight case.

Has any one else used or are useing this software for navigation could give me some advise or pointers. so far im so so impressed with info at hand for £25 wow

The idea of the tablet came from watching the Timothy spalls ch4 programe, and i thought what a good idea tablet and software about £150:) or garmin plotter £350:(

On the Android, I use MM Tracker - you will find it on the Android Market (now Google Play).
Cost is about a fiver but you might need some help with some charts.
I use my old version QCT (Memory Map) ones.
Some even scanned and georeferenced myself.

IMHO, MM Tracker is MUCH better than the current Navionics for the Android.

The navionics is ok for planning and shows where you are and speed etc but I can't see how to set up headings for waypoints or many other options my nav man plotter does

Navionics works fine on my Android Phone (HTC EVO 3D running Gingerbread) and Tablet (HP Touchpad running Ice Cream Sandwich).

Have you tried "sending" it to your device from the Google Play Internet Shop (accessed via a PC) rather than pulling it to your device using the Android app.

Have you tried to put waypoints (marks) in or a route?
The software will let you do it but it's impossible to place waypoints or routes accurately.

It really needs much more development IMO.

However, I havent yet loaded the NavionicsHD one for my tablet.

I was hoping that someone on here might have bought the Android NavionicsHD one and could tell us if the mark/route placement was any better than the Android phone version.

I did email Navionics to complain but after several emails, they pretended not to understand. I was so disapointed with the phone version that I've lost interest in Navionics.

MM Tracker is far better IMO

BTW - all my apps were loaded through the Android Market (noe Play).

"Pushing" Google Apps

To push an app to a device.

Use your PC (not the android device) and go to the URL

https://play.google.com/store?hl=en

Click on "Sign in" (upper righthand part of screen)

In the search box type "Navionics"

This will list all the packages available, you should be able to scroll down to the one you have purchased. It will either show "Purchased" or "Installed"

Click on this instance of the app and click on the "purchased" or "installed" button, this should then offer you the option to send to a device, your phone and tablet should be listed. Select the appropriate one.

will give it a try tonight , but to be honist im not impressed at all with there customer services, just come home and still no reply to me email from today or last week email, this to me is poor customer services, and i feel like ring them up and getting a refund,

Thanks all for your help and comments:):)

It seems that the software has been developed around the Apple range of products and the fact that it just happens to work on the Android stuff is pure coincidence. It works fine on both the iPhone and iPad and at the price is superb value IMHO.
