My boat going slower and slower.

Oi, I know all about tides and speed through water. I was just pointing out, that at the moment, I could not tell excactly how much speed I was loosing. So you owe me at least a couple of doubles.

By the way, I was down to 12 knots at one point, round the South Stacks. Recon that was about 6 knots of tide.

At half tide, springs it will be around 3kts anyway I guess, but no access to charts/ tables to confirm. You weren't towing a Little Ship were you by any chance? Or is little Henry dragging a paw in the water?

Meanwhile, back to the original question......

for the sake of about £300/£350 surely it's worth having it blasted ?

At the very least you'll have a nice smooth hull to antifoul and would be in a position to either give yourself a conglatulatory slap on the back - or rule it out altogether if the problem with low speed persists.

(I'm never happier than when I'm spending other peoples' money......) /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Yes but the charts have to take a sort of average. There were bits where we went faster and slower. No, at the time, we were not towing Little Ship, nor did I see Henrys legs in the water. As far as I know. Mind, Little Ship could do with some help. It's a real embaresment to find, your on minimum revs and Little ship is being left behind.
