Try the Spinnaker Chandlers at Bembridge, they often have the Musto stuff at clearance prices, if you are happy with last years colours!!Was tehre at the weekend and they had a large sale rail of various makes male and female jackets, all types.

The thing is, there are literally thousands of substitutes. It’s basically a showerproof/waterproof outer with a fleece liner. If you go to any outdoor shop you will find non-musto equivalents as this is a very common combination of features to offer in a coat. I’ve listed a few above. I own a Musto snug, it was given to me and very nice it is too, but there are plenty of jackets like it.

You can't compare jackets based on a superficial visual inspection. The reason Musto are so popular is because they are so well made. My 30 year old Snug has literally not a single thread missing. Other jackets rip, fray, wear and visually deteriorate. Musto quality still shows years later. You need to factor time into your comparisons.

Indeed, not ‘dissing’ Musto, it’s quality gear. Just saying there are alternatives of similar quality (and, sadly, price).
