Looks like I’m in Scotland for winter. Will Musto sailing boots suffice for walking dogs and feeding chickens and pottering around a rather large garden in the snow? Or will I need more grip on the sole?

Star-Lord, I recommend transiting the large garden via worm holes, as Mustos will not be able to counter the strong gravitational field.

I need more grip on the sole
My theory was after a few steps in the snow the treads are full of snow and basically flat anyways! You have answered your own question:
Thanks for pointing these out. I’d not heard of this brand but see they have an interesting product range.Thermal work wellies e.g. Buckboots have a vibram like sole, steel toe cap for anchor stuff, and keep my tootsies warm. I also wear them for some mountain stuff esp if wet and about freezing. Great in dry snow too.

You could wear the boots around the house as slippers and keep your feet warm.
I’m having to carry slippers (converse) in Barbour pockets because my carry on bag is full.
