just completed a passage from inverness to portsmouth.
100m east, 450m south, 100m west. and all but 20m with the wind from ahead. how can this be?!
and the main reason for going was because it was a big cat with a powerful rig. there i was expecting to be flying along and instead we were pounding into it the whole time and ended up with about a pint of fuel left.
there were a few compensations - 3 hours of twilight and dawn at 0300 up there.
