Attended the MSBA (Medway Swale Boating Association) Conference yesterday. Lots of good stuff about local conditions and future plans. I was impressed by the Deputy Harbour Master's talk and how Peel Ports see the Medway developing and their consideration for the needs of recreational boating. Enjoyed Dick Holness's (of East Coast Pilot) views on Notices to Mariners and the cabling laying of the Wind Farm arrays. Tom Cunliffe entertained us with a view jokes.

A really well organised event by Tony Lavelle of this forum, and I think we all put down the lack of teacups on occassions to the unexpected large numbers attending. Very well done.

There's another post about this on the Thames forum, not a place I normally go but someone pointed it out to me.
It was indeed a good day, and thanks for the kind comment...it was rotten being on last, spent the whole day worrying about it! Really nice bunch of people there though, had plenty of good natters.
Good to hear the Council are going to reinstate the landing at Sun Pier, and will even look at Strood Pier access as well. About time too.

Would echo what's already been said, and Dick did a sterling job considering he could of been faced with a room full of people who wanted to nod off. Tony Lavelle as always did a sterling job organising the event along with others from the MSBA and was well worth attending.
