I have a Ultraflex manual steering system is their a way of adapting the input shaft to move the wheel closer to the seat.
Not being sarcastic here but would it not be easier to move your seat forward????
Do you honestly think I would ask the question if the seat was movable, as for your input Omega2 you obliviously get to 3090 posts by posting drivel. MartynG I am a fully paid up tax payer in this country when I am I ever going to get to see a doctor.
Nick h thank you for your sensible answer, after taking your advice, I have now got ideas for machining a suitable hub extension.

My knuckles drag along the ground, no problem in reaching things or hitting nerves. LOL
Seems the OPs problem is that his stature is er... not what the boatbuilder designed for.....
I am reminded of the complaint written in rhyme on a toilet wall
This bloody toilet is no good at all
The seat is too high and the hole is too small
underneath someone else had written
To which I must add the obvious retort
Your arse is too big and your legs are too short
