Thinking of buying this mount but can find no details of how to fit the hand held plotter into it or how to present my existing 4 pin power plug when in mount.

I know where the 4 pin socket is within the plotter but how to connect up when in mount.

It's under the aerial towards the top I think. Not even Garmin are daft enough to make a mount that defeats the object. Maybe they are? No I doubt it.
You're right - the lump in the middle is were the batteries go - my bad.. so basically shove it in the mount with the lid open and the power cable should be able to connect just above where the mount ends??

Yes everyone, I know where it is in the plotter, where does the boat supply lead go?
Is it integrated within the mount, or separate. At the moment my existing power lead is separate to my old mount.

Really not sure I'm understanding your question - but the mount is separate, the GPS is separate, and the power lead is separate.. :)

I lose seeing where I am on the chart after I have changed chart size, gone to look at another page etc.

How do I quickly get back to seeing position on chart ?

So, getting back to my original question.

How do I instantly get back to my position on the map page after I have momentarily looked at another page - before coming to a sickening slur into the mud ?

Did you look at the link in post#2 of your previous question?

If you did, and dont understand, there will be someone on these pages to help you. We are like that on here.

If you did not look, those on here may be reluctant to help those who dont help themselves when given the answer.

Thanks MoodySabre & Rotrax.

One has to keep pressing page to find and go back to chart position.

Clearly a mistake in buying a GPSMAP79s as it is for LAND navigation.

There is a 'nod' to marine setup but hardly an extensive attempt.

Now off to Garmin site to find out how to stop MOB !!

Page and quit work you through the pages in opposite directions. You can reorganise the pages such that your most used are next to your favourite page so only have to go one page left or right.
