Follow up to recent posts asking for sources of mouldable lining carpet. I was at a VW van show yesterday and met carpet suppliers JR and CP Wood . They can supply up to 25 different shades of carpet, plain and ribbed. Will sell small pieces or rolls up to 25 metres long, 2 metres wide. Also they do the adhesives.
They advise not to use the ribbed type, as it is very difficult with a flexible product to keep the ribs level and even. Seems like good advice. Also the ribs attract dust, another valuable piece of advice.
I have no connection with them, etc. but they seemed to know what they were talking about and are willing to oblige.
I also spoke to Cheshire Motor Caravans who are a rather more general conversion company who also sell mouldable carpet.
