Motorboats Monthly Back Issue

I think I have them all from 92 but need to check tonight, no use if you want the whole mag but I dont mind scanning an article for you if that helps.

I realise its very rude of me to beg (and hijack another's thread in the process) in my first post here, so I apologise!
I don't suppose you'd have the June 2011 issue of Motorboats Monthly in your collection would you? I'm after the review of the Four Winns 248 & and 268 which is in that issue. There was one on Ebay which I waited too long over, and it's now not listed. If you could help, I'd be very grateful!
 
Hi I’m after two different copies.
One from 1997 with the Fairline Phantom 43AC test, the other 1998 the Fairline Targa 43 test. Can you help?

I too think I have copies of MBM and MBY going back to around 1991. I dont want to butt in but if dpb doesnt have the copies I may be able to help

Yes please. I think the Fairline Targa 43 is May 1998, not sure about the Phantom 43AC? Regards Clive

I have just checked and I do indeed have MBM back copies from June 1994, Jan 1997 (43AC), May 1998 (T43) and June 2011 (FW248/268). Its going to be a couple of days before I can scan them. Dpb what do you have? Maybe we can do two each? Canon18 which test were you looking for from the June 1994 issue?

Just dug out the 43 AC and T43 test to scan from work tomorrow.

Yes I agree. I always had a soft spot for MBM. Part of that was because we cut our cruising teeth on a number of MBM Cruises in Company in the 1990s and I will be forever grateful for the lessons those experiences taught me. Also the magazine was very readable and covered some of the more practical aspects of motorboating not covered in MBY at the time. Anyone know what happened to Kim Hollamby, Jake Kavanagh and the rest of the MBM crew?

Don't know about Jake, but Kim worked for Piers "Playd'eau" Dupree for some time. His website doesn't have any recent blog entries but it looks as if he's doing consultancy and voluntary work of various kinds. https://kimhollamby.com/blog/about. He has - or had, anyway, a very nice classic Beecham Searider called Formanda
