Motor Boat Chat, sub division \"wood\"

It seems that this is mainly a plastic forum, I just wondered how many lovers of planking and displacement speeds are contributing, if any.

My Windy's plastic but the interior is teak, so much so, that it looks like a bank managers office! Does that count?

Only two then!

Looks like just "Englander" and "Hermees" then, and me when I get out my cheque book again...finally...whenever.

Re: ccscott\'s boat

no, cscott's boat is actually made of structural high-tensile varnish. The wood is only there underneath as something to look nice, i think.

Re: Motor Boat Chat, sub division \"wood\"

My boat got lots of wood in it, but not that manky raw wood like in a gnarly old tree. Proper plywood. In fact, since it's from Italy or germany or france or somewhere on the continent, it might even be genuine "conti-board". Posh eh?

I've got TWO large piles of classic British firewood. Sorry non-diplacement though.

Bill.

Re: Motor Boat Chat, sub division "wood"

Your credibility quotient is still pretty high, plus you get bonus points for keeping two, and I admit they are wood even if a tree wouldn't recognise them!

Re: Motor Boat Chat, sub division \"wood\"

Can I join the splinter group?

As per Blue Blazes, wood, but not displacement.

I reckon I've got more epoxy holding her together than CCS has got epifanes...

<hr width=100% size=1>Sod the Healey - I think I'll buy an E-Type.
