Most popular boat names?

Picking up on a couple of themes here:

"Swallow" is very popular indeed, for obvious reasons. Windsong is also popular - so much so that Classic Boat showed a picture of the wrong one in it's Top 200 Classics recently.

Three good ones for the VHF are:

"Morning All" - Orwell - an S&S34, (a sibling of "Morning Cloud")
"Wakey Wakey" - Deben
"Its only me" - Crouch

My personal favourite, on a Drascombe Lugger, is:

"Bucky Lugger"

Signed, the owner of the oddly named: "Francis Fletcher"

Then again, "Unsinkable 2" has a certain attraction....

There used to be a Halmatic DS110 on the River Dart called Titanic II a few years ago.

That's what I call tempting fate! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Also seen "Kin-ell" writ large on the side of a Phantom 25 with a pair of Merc 200hp outboards!

Oh, and there used to be a racing dinghy called "Hoof Hearted", which was always worth a laugh when the yacht club commodores wife was reading out the end of season race results! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

A name I always fancied on an Azimut round our way......

....'La Dolce Vita'

and considering the guy who owns it just sold his business for x £sqwillions of pounds quite appropriate really..... lucky b'ard.

Overdraft.

Not sure if it had too much gear on board or its effect on owner's bank balance.

Dunno about most popular names but the boat name I always liked is 'Weather or Knot' which I think belongs to a Cygnus owned by occasional MBM contributor John Cragg

Many many years ago there was a boat on my marina called "Financial Distress".

Rather ironically I believe it got repossessed.... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
