Hi all, I have a morse lever control and I am getting throttle creep. Does anyone know if there is an adjustment that I can make to stiffen it up a bit or is it set and it's just knackered?
It's quite an old lever, chrome lever with black ball on the end and there's a knob you have to pull out at the bottom to keep it out of gear.

Not sure if it applies to your type , but on the mt head there are flat spring steel strips that bear on a ball.

speak to hindle controls in peterbrough, for exact advice & ther required extra strips or what is required in your case

When I got my boat in December, I found the throttle would not stay open. I had to drive it the 10 miles to my mooring either holding it, or leaning on it.

I dismantled it, and found the retaining screw at the bottom of the throttle handle had come loose. There are 2 rubber pressure pads behind, and cleaning the casings, and reassembling correctly has cured the problem.
