Moorings in France

Hi all, been a while as I had forgotten my password ! Anyway can anyone recommend a secure mooring on the French canals within perhaps a five day cruise from Calais. My plan is to take the boat over this year, leave it over winter then carry on down to the med next year. I was thinking of somewhere like St. Quentin but have not been able to make contact as yet. Any suggestions greatly appreciated, preferably need a good link back to Calais.

I think the best way is to have a trip over there by car, The French have yet to understand emails The only way is to turn up in person.
