Complete long shot but.........

I'll need to be in Albufiera a few evenings over the coming months and as actually paying 30 plus euros for the marina just isn't the done thing..

Anyone know anything about the moorings in the outer harbour? Looks too tight to anchor. As the public transport stops so early it would be dead handy slipping a fisherman a few euros for the use of a buoy for a night rather than sleeping on someones' couch and hoping the dinghy was where you left it in Faro or Portimao. Don't suppose anyone knows anything like that?

And where do people leave their dingies in those places? The pontoon near the railway tracks next to Faro marina looks OK, Portimao / Ferragudo seem a bit slim on options though.

Ta V much.

In Faro take your dink into m/boat marina, tie up on shore end of fuel pontoon. Safe as you'll ever get.

Portimao: outside of pontoon breakwater on port hand of marina entrance. Never had a problem there, but dinghies get bounced around by wake from passing boats. I use a grapnel anchor to hold it off the pontoon.

Cheers Ludd.

Anyone used the pontoon up by the railway bridge next to the sardine restaurants?

Another option for the dinghy is a pontoon on the second smaller travel lift at the boatyard, handy if you're buying stuff in the chandlers or paint shop , though wallet may well be lightened by the same weight as what you bought ;l
