Mooring overstay charges

I Know this is on narrowboatworld but it concerns the Thames.

I think £5 a night then £50 a night after 6 days would be about right

But the knock on effect is they will all go and stop at the good countryside moorings; Medmenham for example, or just above Byron at South Stoke.

I think they have developed a "wheel clamp" that fits on the prop. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

They would need to fit two on twin screwed Mobo's though. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

How about dividing all public moorings into two sections,a small marker should do the trick half way along the mooring.All narrowboats must moor in their designated bit and if dozens of them want to moor on the same bit at the same time for days on end,fine but they must all raft out.

Hours of fun watching the one inside breaking out from the other dozen tinslugs who owners have buggered off back to Bradford or wherever until spring. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
