People are so untrustworthy these days.
That said, I was pleasantly surprised the other week when one of the guys from Orwell Yacht Club came over in his dinghy to let me know he had collided with the side of our boat a day or so previously. He had contacted Foxs to let them know as well.
Turns out we couldn't find any sign of the impact on Mermaid. His pulpit, however, was quite mis-shapen as a result. 27 tons v 5??? I'm assuming he caught her along the big hardwood, stainless capped, rubbing strake.
Big up to Rudy off Blue Solitaire for his honesty.

Very sorry to hear about that Will. It is sadly not uncommon, and unless witnessed the slimy toads often don't report it.

Even when it happens in front of the club and was witnessed by Geoff amongst others, the vessel carried on down river after a major impact, and only returned when directly called on Ch 16 by name.

He said he thought it was only a slight touch and no damage.

Not so!!

There was internal damage to a bulkhead as well.

Sadly not uncommon these days - 'someone' took a hefty chunk out of our gelcoat a couple of months ago.
No-one owned up - no witnesses :(

Mr Stainless at SYH might be able to sort your pushpit. Un-bent ours when I couldn't find the brakes a couple of years ago

Very sad, done to us in Tollesbury marina and the boat didn't own up.

Then £2,000 of damage at Tidemill and I had a letter via the marina office, phone call and note left on the boat. She was our neighbouring boat though so not much excuse not to confess :D

Hope you find them, it annoyed me for a long time when no-one admitted it in Tollesbury.

B***ards. Someone collided with our previous boat on a mooring and we found out who it was - can't imagine your rage...
