Moody 34 / 346

Toying with moving up to a Moody 34/346. Looked around one, but not actually had opportunity to sail one. Any EC forum
people got one, fancy taking me and Mrs out for a quick sail one weekend?

For the same money as a 30 year old Moody, you could get a decent Ben/Jen/Bav built this century, with better accommodation, decent performance and far less maintenance.

You could try! As someone who bought no fewer than 3 brand new Westerly yachts, I do have a view on last century's boats, and "well made" isn't a term I'd use!

I can only speak for the brand rather than that specific model. Built like the proverbial; good sailer but needs a bit of a blow to get her moving; traditional design; great build quality.

The port side cockpit locker on the 346 was a wonder to behold. No Ben/Jen/Bav could match that!

My Cruiser 37 has a fairly cavernous cockpit locker, with a ladder going down into it.
