I have a 33 mk1. Roomy comfortable cruiser with a remarkable sailing perfromance considering displacement and beam. Nice and dry. safe centre cockpit with ample room for 6 but a bit wide to brace if heeling (sails better upright anyway!). Powerful (38hp) engine will get you out of most bother spots. Ample headroom in saloon and nice large heads with shower. Downsides are grabrails on coach roof which are not helpful and wiring - mine is dicey but I suppose it is 25 years old! There are some old brochures on a link from the American Moody owners site : http://www.members.tripod.com/moodyowners/
Well worth a look.
Hope this helps. I am sure you would enjoy the boat.
When having a couple surveyed was advised to look for weakness in bulkhead to hull joints on early Mk 1 models plus compression problems on coachroof. Otherwise agree are very good all round boats that sail remarkably well. Mk 2 layout is that much better but price hikes a good bit.
