I suppose it had to happen, Thursday night after an evening drowning my sorrows. You know the type of evening good food plenty of wine friends back on board for a drink, just nip next next door to my mates boat to grab another botlle from the fridge stepping smartly back onto the pontoon ...SPLASH it's not there!!! I somehow managed to deftly slide the bottle of wine onto the pontoon on my way down to do a hull inspection, where the bottle rolled and stopped at my boat, Swmbo hears wine rattling down pontoon but doesn't hear the splash!!!! Worse still she doesn't even investigate why the wine was delivered without me hanging on to it!! After a harrowing 5mins trying to extricate myself from the sparklingly clean waters of the marina I arrive back at my boat only for Swmbo to burst out laughing and between the laughter muttering about monsters from the deep, at which point my sense of humour failed me COMPLETELY!!!
I can see the funny side now, and also I have learnt a valuable lesson,
send someone else for the wine in future!!!!!

Julian that was good enough to have won the letter of the month in MBM, and you could have had a free bottle of gin with to do it in style next time!

Glad to know your still alive to tell the tale. Let me know when you want a hand to fit that diesel!
