Youv'e guessed, I have just returned from Venice. I shall never speak ill of the Solent again. I cannot believe that I didn't see any accidents, hundreds of boats wizzing up and down the canals like mopeds in Rome and every now and again a Gondola mking his merry way up or down.
A truly wonderful experience. No matter where you looked, culture stareing you in the face. Perhaps the best 3 days of my life, but then I have yet to meet Suzzy Woozy or Pauline B or Power Skipper, god I'm getting depressed now. Any way, if you have not been to Venice, go now whilst it is still above water!!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

It's an amazing place. Did you take in Harry's Bar ? It retains its charm as do the staff, who'll help to anaesthetise you enough to cope with the size of the bill /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Looked at it, saw the price and kept moving and found a lovely little bar round the corner where we spotted someone making pasta and spagehtti, so there we ate and drank.
