Mobile Data in France

We will be in Brittany for 7 weeks soon, and will need to use 3G or WAP data. This is very expensive via UK network providers (about £7+ per Mb). Has anyone found a better way?

I have UK Vodafone normal contract
You can upgrade from your normal package to International roaming on a monthly basis
Charge then becomes around £100 which includes 100Mb of transfer then about a £1 per Mb
If you use onspeed to compress your data then things go a long way

Or....
you could splash out on a Vodafone 3g data card for your pc.
£97 per month, international, and unlimited. At least you can still use it once your back.
