hi all
I have finally resolved the problem with my engine,fitted a new fuel pump which resolved the fuel problem but this was not the sole cause of my frustration! there was another problem as well, which was causing the 35 minute shutdown, it was the coil !!! although brand new it was the wrong type of coil ,it was the right one for the engine, if it still had points, but this engine has been converted to electronic ignition and therefore needed a different coil, so i fitted a (another)new one and guess what engine ran like a dream for over an hour

Now all i need is some half decent weather so i can go for a blast

Ah, now I hinted at this on IanC's post on poverty stricken boatowner forum. Should have thought of that one as I had that on mine too, but you side tracked me with the petroluim pumpen not.

Still glad you got it all sorted. Did you go the leccy pump route or replace with a meccy one?
